The STAR Project is a 501(c)3 organization formed to bring change to the lives of animals who are at risk for unnecessary euthanasia, have suffered abuse and neglect, deemed special needs, rapidly deteriorating in the shelter, or facing breed discrimination. We will provide a home through our network of approved foster providers, as well as medical care and training until they find their forever home. Animals that require extra attention and care will be at STAR Camp, located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. The STAR Project offers help and advocacy to animals nationwide, promotes a no-kill philosophy, strives to end BSL (Breed Specific Legislation) and dispel the 'Pit Bull' myth, and offers support to pet parents by offering education and assistance.
