The STAR Project relies on dedicated individuals to open their homes and hearts to foster animals in need. Although we need a foster home lined up in order to rescue an animal, we will only place an animal with an approved STAR Project foster. Those wanting to become a STAR Project approved foster must first go through our process to include a home visit and reference check, as well as landlord approval (if renting). If the potential foster already has animals, a vet reference check will be conducted. All STAR Project approved fosters will be provided with food, crate, toys, and whatever is needed to make the animal comfortable during their stay, as well as any medical expenses and training that may be needed. The animals that are part of The STAR Project are looking for their forever home! While in the care of our wonderful fosters, they were getting 'Star' ready for you! Animals ready for adoption will be up to date on all vaccinations as well as spayed or neutered. The STAR Project has an in-depth application process and all personal references, vet references (if currently owns an animal), landlord references (if renting) will be contacted, as well as a home check at the location in which the animal will reside. A meet and greet will also be conducted between all parties (even animals!). The STAR Project reserves the right to reject applications based on information and findings.
